A passkey lets you sign in using your device’s built-in security — Touch ID, Face ID, Windows Hello, or your phone’s screen lock — instead of typing a password. Passkeys are phishing-resistant and unique to each site, so they can’t be reused or stolen the way passwords can.Documentation Index

Setting up a passkey
Open security settings
Go to Settings > Security.
Confirm your password
You’ll be asked to confirm your password the first time you add a passkey, or after a few hours have passed since your last confirmation.
Name your passkey
Give it a name you’ll recognize later, like “MacBook Pro” or “Work iPhone”. This helps you identify it if you ever need to remove it.
Approve with your device
Your browser will prompt you to approve with your fingerprint, face, or device PIN. Once you approve, the passkey is saved.
We recommend adding a passkey on more than one device — for example, your laptop and your phone — so you always have a way to sign in if one device is unavailable.
Signing in with a passkey
On the sign-in page, click Continue with a passkey. Your browser will show the passkeys saved for VexiData — pick the one you want to use and approve with your device. If your passkey is saved on a different device (like your phone), choose Use a different device in the browser prompt and scan the QR code with that device. You may also see your passkey appear as a suggestion when you focus the email field — picking it there signs you in directly.Removing a passkey
Go to Settings > Security, find the passkey you want to remove, and click Remove. You’ll be asked to confirm your password. If you only sign in with Google or GitHub
You need to set a password before you can add a passkey. This way, if you ever lose your passkey-enabled devices, you’ll still have a way to sign in.
Lost your device?
If you lose access to a device with a passkey on it:- Sign in from another device that has a passkey for your account, then remove the lost device’s passkey from Settings > Security.
- Sign in with your password (and 2FA, if enabled) from any device, then remove the lost passkey.
- If you can’t sign in any other way, contact support.
