Prerequisites
- A VexiData account with at least one connected databaseConnect a database
- A Claude Pro or Team account (MCP integrations require a paid subscription)
Connection Steps#
Open Claude Settings
Go to Claude and click on your profile icon or name in the bottom left corner. Select Settings from the menu.
Navigate to Integrations
In the Settings panel, click on Integrations to access the MCP integrations page. You can also navigate directly to claude.ai/settings/integrations.
Add a New Integration
Click the Add Integration button to add a new MCP server connection.
Configure VexiData
Enter the VexiData MCP server details:
Name: VexiData
MCP Server URL: https://api.vexidata.com/mcpSave the Integration
Click Save or Add to create the integration. Claude will attempt to connect to the VexiData MCP server.
Authorize VexiData
You'll be redirected to VexiData's authorization page. Review the permissions and click Approve to grant Claude access to your databases.
Start Using VexiData
After authorization, you'll be redirected back to Claude. The VexiData integration is now active and you can start querying your data.
MCP Server URL
Use the exact URL: https://api.vexidata.com/mcp — this is the official VexiData MCP endpoint.
Using VexiData in Claude#
Once connected, you can ask Claude questions about your data. VexiData will translate your natural language queries into SQL and return the results.
Example prompts:
- "Show me all orders from last month"
- "What are my top 10 customers by revenue?"
- "How many users signed up this week?"
- "Summarize my sales data for Q4"
Managing Your Connection#
You can manage or disconnect the Claude integration at any time from your VexiData settings:
1. Go to Settings in VexiData
2. Click on Security
3. Click on the AI Connections tab
4. Find Claude in the list and click Disconnect if needed
